I have been a fan of The Chariot since they first formed. I was downloading their home recordings from Myspace and burnin' them shits to CDs like CRAZY! HAHA WOW! They have always done unique things with hardcore and metal that separate them from the sea of poop that exists (for example, recording their first album live with almost every song being recorded in one take, and using The Sacred Harp choir on their second album). They continue in that tradition with One Wing, and I was happy to hear it. They've got some weird a cappella interludes, a western/surf jam, and a super awesomeweird piano+vocal piece—similar to Touche Amore's "Condolences." This is my favorite Chariot album to date, and it's a great one. The lyrics above are from the song "Forget." Video embedded below.
(Also, I'd like to note that the first word in the drawing is the verb "perfect," pronounced "per-FECT.")
