Good morrow!A long-ass time ago, my good buddy Douglas posted a song called A Voice of Truth on his weblog along with an open invitation to add to the song. Lou and I started out by putting some layers on his version, but then I came to grips with and stated out loud that "the song is just too slow for me." So, I decided to cover it instead. I added one lyrical line and a few more instruments. The only problem was that right when I was about to finish the recording, a doctor ripped a bunch of cartilage out of my leg. So, there I was on my back, full of pills and pain, with one empty break in my cover of A Voice of Truth. About a week or so ago, I gave to file to Douglas while visiting and told him he could fill in that last gap if he felt so inclined. He did, and the result is a rockin' good time. This version will be considered the "demo" and then there will be a final, mastered version on the forthcoming These Are Magnets EP.I now present These Are Magnets version of A Voice of TruthI would like to extend a public thank you to Douglas for the sweet, sweet riffage he laid on the end. Also, you can read all about this on his similar blog post that I copied.Let us know what you think in the comments!
