Ain’t Got Nuthin

This is the official poster for my upcoming show at Lyons Share Gallery.

The series that I will be showing explores the traditions, mannerisms, and attitudes of the South through direct referencing of the idioms and actions native to the area. The imagery is nostalgic in nature and easily relatable to anyone who has lived south of the Mason-Dixon and east of the Mississippi for an extended period of time.

Like the poster says, I’ll have over a dozen never-before-seen pieces, so if you’re on the Eastern Shore this Friday, then you should come see them.

Work in Progress Episode III

This is another mixed media piece that I’m working on.

I guess now would be a good time to mention that I am being featured at the Lyons Share Gallery in Fairhope on the First Friday event in September. I will be showing 15–20 new pieces in a series titled, “Ain’t Got Nuthin’: The Idioms of Southern Culture, Visualized
More on that later.

Keep checking back for glimpses at the new pieces, and let me know what you think in the comments.
